Dear Families, Supporters and Friends of Aldar Academy,
As we navigate the spread of COVID-19 in the Greater Sacramento Area, the health and safety of Aldar Academy staff and those we serve is our top priority. Our Leadership Team has been closely monitoring updates from state, county and local officials in order to make responsible decisions. We are committed to balancing the needs of our community, while maintaining an environment that is safe for our employees and the children, adults and families in our care.
After much deliberation, in response to recommendations and directives from the State of California; Governor Gavin Newsom; Sacramento County officials; and Sacramento, Placer, Yuba, and El Dorado County Offices of Education; we will be implementing changes to all of our programs effective Monday, March 16th.
Our teams will provide services throughout the closures using virtual tools to continue supporting students and families of children with special needs. During this period, our team will provide many services via phone and online. Parents and providers can contact Aldar Academy during normal business hours with questions.
All academic activities including Job Coaching, Independent Living Skills, and Computer Education sessions will be offered remotely effective March 16th.
Please note that there are important program modifications at this time, for example increasing social distancing throughout our programs.
Administration : All of our administrative teams will continue to operate; working remotely as necessary and possible. We are pausing our volunteer programs until further notice.
The generosity and support of our community has never been more important to our staff and our programs. We are closely monitoring the availability of federal and state funds to help offset the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
We want to thank you for your support during these trying times. We will continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves and provide resources to support the needs of our students and families as they become available.
