During the past school year, Aldar has responded to the changing needs of our population in the following areas:

Behavioral Modification

  • Individual and Group Behavioral systems in each classroom - Aldar Academy has long implemented a daily behavioral data tracking system, which is designed to track behavioral data. This data is then used to provide students with feedback about their behavioral tendencies in the areas of following directions, verbal aggression, oppositional defiance, property destruction, and leaving designated areas.

Additional Services

  • Speech and Language Pathologist - Aldar Academy contracts with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA). Our contracted SLP conducts all assessments and creates a functional academic speech goals designed to assist each student to successfully access the academic curriculum. Instructional goals developed through the IEP process traditionally address: articulation, expressive/receptive language, voice, fluency, pragmatic language and pre-academic/functional communication skills. Mental Health

Aldar Academy Mental Health Services (through group and/or individual therapy) focus on recognizing and setting appropriate boundaries, self-esteem building, appropriate conflict resolution and self-advocacy skills, and acknowledgement of student success.
