Aldar Academy

Aldar Academy provides Speech and Language therapy to students who qualify for services (California Code of Regulations, Title 5).

Therapists provide services that assist with:

*Articulation   *Auditory comprehension       *Following directions

*Functional speech     *Grammar       *Language      *Phonemic awareness

*Pragmatic language skills      *Stuttering      *Vocabulary    *Voice disorders

All services are differentiated for individual students, giving students skills for success in their educational program and life outside of school. Students identified as needing direct therapy receive one-on-one, group, and/or pullout therapy.

Speech and Language Therapists work to support classrooms in helping students generalize skills, which lead to more positive social group interactions.

Speech and Language Therapists also focus on language and emphasize effective communication (school ESLR) thus creating better personal problem-solving skills. Speech and Language skills are practiced across all aspects of the school program and outside of school in the community.

Speech and Language Therapy services at Aldar Academy are also available as a private pay option. For additional information, please contact the school office at (916) 485-9685. You can also reach out to the speech team directly by emailing them at speech@aldaracademy.org
